A person in the auto place I shop in recommended SeaFoam fuel additive to help the engine and prevent water in gas from freezing. This won't hurt the engine, will it? What are your thoughts/experience on it?

Seafoam can produce impressive amounts of smoke out the tail pipe as it does its thing. This is quite legitimate, but it could alarm the neighbors!

There's been lots of discussion about it here, though not too much of late. Try a search to find out more about our experiences with it.

I can attest to the smoke. The first time I ran some through my Nova's V8 intake, it smoked heavily for at least 20 minutes. And I am talking a smoke screen thick amount of smoke :icon_eek:. I can't imagine what some of the neighbors thought seeing it smoke like that.

Sea foam works wonder on carbon build up, great for cleaning injector ports.
