I put the H6 brake upgrade (purchased from Roo) on my Forester two weeks ago and I must say it's a great mod for the $$. Cost was around $240 for rotors, new caliper brackets, pads, and shipping.
Items included:
2 x H6 Rear Rotors
2 x H6 Caliper brackets
1 x set of Impreza/WRX brake pads w/ shims & clips
Install was easy. I did need two 8mm bolts to get the passenger side rear rotor off. Removal of the dust shield was easy with the cordless drill and a fat bit. Longest part of the install was waiting for the paint to dry on the caliper brackets.
Braking is much better with this setup. It took me until this morning to really figure out what it was... stopping distance seems a bit shorter, but the best part is that in a hard stop the nose doesn't dive nearly as much. I always felt stupid racing to a stop and then having the front end bounce back up. NO MORE!
Well worth it if you want better braking without having to upgrade your calipers (which leads to bigger wheels, etc...)
