Sue Anne and Bruce's camping trailer (with attached Forester)
What a neat name combo that works perfect for a Subaru!

I have a states park and rec tag does that count?
I was more so talking about personalized plates where you chose the letters. But I have considered getting one of these instead. I really wish they offered local ones so that I could support the Cleveland Metroparks and get their logo on the plate.

No Forester-specific ones, but my wife and I have matching plates for our Subies:
I think you take the cake. Is there even a better more fitting plate for an XT than Turbaru?!?!?

Someone that knows my Patriotic ways joked about "Merica" as a plate.. it was available. DONE!
Damn that is funny. I too love a good "Merica" preferably in the most ******* tone I can muster. Just checked for curiosity's sake and "merica" is already claimed in Ohio.

My wife and I are both nerds.

She has "R2 UNIT" on her Impreza currently and I have "RANCOR" on my wrangler which will be transferred over to the XT when it arrives.

Alabama has something like 300 different plate designs and 2 standard (no extra charge) ones. Extra cost ranges from $5 to $50 for most of them. I have a US Navy one on my Subaru, available to retired Navy folks, and there are similar ones available to the minor services also. ;) Unfortunately, personalization is not available on the military tags so I just took what they gave me.

It costs double for a vanity plate in Maine, and the choice of what can be had is very limited. (already issued or censored)

I picked up a new one for my '16. Costs about $300 for the plate itself, then regular renewal fees after that.

I'm not a huge fan of the smart *** license plates that aren't about the car itself. Things like ALWYSL8, YOLO, that kind of thing. EWWEVO, on the other hand, makes me chuckle.

Just got issued these sweet retro California plates for my wagon... I really like the black on black look.
I'm not a fan of customized numbers unless they mean something useful - like folks who get their radio call sign.

I'll probably get a pair for the Foz once I install a radio... and get my HAM license >.>

Guess Ive never posted in here but Have had these for a while: I'm sure you understand why the plate :grin2:

Transferred the tag from my Legacy yesterday. I've had this one since 1999.

Till yet I didn't notice this thread.

Already for my previous Forester I could get a vanity plate.

My wishes were:

After the shortcuts for my town 2 identical letters in succesion and a following repdigit.

They offered me:
(*) - VV 1111
Of course I chose that.

(*) = shortcuts of my town.

Since several years it's possible to keep the same car registration for the next car and by that my current Forester has the same car registration..
Now I most probably will keep that car registration till I give up to drive. :Banane02:

Edited:

Vanity plates are too much $$ in NYS so that's as close as I am getting.
In Germany the additional charge of a vanity plate is 12.90€ for the first registration.
You can keep that vanity plate for all following cars without additional charge.
Nowadays you even can keep that vanity plate, if you move to another town in the same state or in another state.

Nope, but I did check the NYS site to see if HER FOZ was available-they show you what the plate would look like if it is, they were available so I snipped the image to use as my avatar. Vanity plates are too much $$ in NYS so that's as close as I am getting.

That's pretty cheap. Per the NYS DMV:

How much do personalized plates cost?

Passenger and Commercial Plates:
Initial Cost = $60.00
Annual Fee = $31.25

Oops, that's expensive - more than $90 for the first registration of a vanity plate.

Do you have to pay the Annual Fee only for a vanity plate or also for a normal plate?

In Germany we don't have an Annual Fee, neither for a normal plate nor for a vanity plate.
As far as I know it's the same in all EU countries.
