Maintenance Messages on in-console Screen?

Hi all,

My first post here. Firstly -- compliments to really helpful writers. I browsed a lot before buying my first Subaru last October.

I changed my oil at a local Jiffy Lube with great Yelp reviews around about 5,000 miles. However, recently when I start my car, the in-console screen tells me to change oil, check tires, urgent maintenance required. It's as if some kind of message wasn't sent to the car when the Jiffy Lube people changed the oil and rotated tires, perhaps?

This seems like such a simple problem but I couldn't find anything through a lot of searching, which makes me think I'm missing something obvious.

Thanks.

You can program the reminders in the Multi-Function Display menus.

Hold down the I tab on the triggers which control the MFD while you are in Park. Go through the options and select Maintenance. This will allow you to set Dates and/or Mileage for each of the maintenance reminders.

Edit: See pages 3-66 through 3-70 in your owners manual for a more detailed explanation.
