headlamp washer fix

hello all
well, the list of things to fix on my recently bought SG is coming to an end...

coming up next is a broken headlamp washer.

i can replace just the missing cover and internal jet piece, but looks like replacing the slightly broken base too is a good idea...

can this be removed without taking the bumper off?

tried from above when the headlamp was off but removing the retaining clip was mission impossible. gap to slide my hand in was really narrow..

before trying from the bottom I thought it a good idea to ask around.

any tips are welcome

hi admins....

not sure why this technical question was moved to the "Europe" forum...

the chances that anyone who can help will see it there is very low and there are foresters with headlamp washers also out of Europe :)

is there a way to publish it in a relevant technical forum without being moved?

tnxs don, thing is my SG is 2004 pre facelift and those dont have the retracting washers like the 2006....

the washer base in my model is held to the bumper by a sliding clip, not bolted to the car body like in your pdf....

strangely enough, the 2004 manual just shows how to remove the external parts, not the base

tnxs again

The base is held on with the use of a clip, but you still need to remove the bumper cover to get to it.
