Hi men,
does anybody know which model ECU/ECM will fit my car. originaly my car was with 22611AM240 (auto trany), but I have swapped my gearbox with 6 MT from STI and now error P0600 appear every time I start the engine. this error is for lost CAN comunication between ECU, TCM and ABS computers, so I cant fix it without changing my ECU with those from manual car. I have SG9 forester 2.5 XT MY07. I think 22611AM250 or 22611AJ544 (from STI forester) will fit, but not sure. Any idea from where I can order one of these? Thanks, Boris

Ecu 22611am240

Hi
I am lookin for ECU 22611AM240, which you just seem to have changed. Do you have that ECU 22611AM240 still available?
If yes and if it is in working order, is it possible to buy it?
In that case what is your price for that?

To be safe, your best bet (as far as compatibility is concerned) would be the same year 5-spd ECU. You dont neccesarily need the STi ecu to run the motor, plus i think the STi motor has things like AVCS which the forester does not, and that will give you an error code too.

Same year 5spd and you should be set. Also, an FYI .... if your running a 6spd gearbox without some form of DCCD managment, your sending most of the power to the rear wheels. This isnt always a bad thing, but your not achieving the full lock-up capabilities that it offers. DCCDpro.com offers a simple manual controller knob (and a much mroe expensive AUTO one) which i would highly reccomend. It makes a night and day difference in acceleration and cornering feel.

If you can get ahold of an STI ecu that would be fine it really comes down to explaining to your tuner what you have as far as mods and his tuning abilities, personally I'd say the STi ecu would serve better because less work on communication and tuning for gearing needs to be done and more emphasis on dialing in your engine will yield a better performing vehicle.
