I'll be interested to see more 2020 sales here. I'm looking at a Sport on Friday, and they seem pretty scarce around here whether you're looking for 2019 or 2020.
Hi! I live in the Portland metro and reached out to dealers as far away as Spokane, Bellingham, and Medford. But when it came down to it, the competitive offers were from dealers in Portland and Bend. I did not get a quote from a dealer in Seattle, though.Hi KylePNW - my first post as well. Regarding selling your Honda Fit - we just sold ours (2008 Sport with 136K on it) via Craigslist and it was less of a hassle than expected. The biggest hassle I had was worrying it would be a hassle.
Congrats on your 2020 Sport! You got a fine deal - where in PNW? Anyone you would recommend? We're currently seeking quotes from greater Seattle area dealerships for a 2020 Sport. Wish us luck!
Hey there! I sought out internet quotes from dealers as far as Bellingham, Medford, and Spokane but intentionally left out Seattle dealers as I live in the Portland metro. Part of my success was persistence and taking each number to another dealer to see if they will beat or match. Dealers that came to play were in Bend, Beaverton, Portland proper, and Vancouver. I chose the dealers I reached out to based on Google reviews. I didn't bother with dealers under a 4.5 rating, but to each their own. I took the final number I received and got the other two dealers to match but they would not beat, even by $100 so I knew I had reached my floor. My goal, based on my research in this forum, was $1000 under invoice (based on where I live).Hi there, Poky Driver - Yes, we've found the same thing. The PNW is a fabulous place to live but tough place to get competitive quotes on 2020 Foresters..... Dealerships aren't budging much - if at all - from invoice. Mostly we've found invoice and invoice+300 for the Sport.
I'm hoping KylePNW will enlighten us both on his purchase. Very curious to know which dealership came through for him.
You could also try getting quotes from Vroom and Carvana, one will give you an instant quote and another one will email back in a day.I've thought about getting quotes from all three dealers and CarMax but I'm nearly positive I'll get low-balled. I also don't have a ton of time on my hands between now and when the Forester will come in to price shop my car.
howdy KylePNW - Thanks for your responses. We're going to pull the trigger on our factory order today. Best we could do with dealerships (all 4* rated) within a 2hr drive of Seattle is $800 under invoice written quote so we're on our way to talk with that dealership now. Hoping for a smooth ride there today and our new Forester Sport in early January.Hey there! So, now I'm just in the predicament of how to sell my current car, which is a good position to be in because I feel like the hard part is already over.
Hope this helps!

Working the dealerships has been time consuming - yeah, you're right. The hard part is over.
It was bittersweet to say goodbye to our Fit (such a great city car) but we're really looking forward to adventures in a Forester!

One of the dealership mentioned that Costco pricing varies across dealerships. Any thoughts?Anyone with quotes for 2020 forester touring from Costco?
Not all dealerships participate in the Costco Auto program. It’s worth going thru them though to get a competitive quote. One of the dealership mentioned that Costco pricing varies across dealerships. Any thoughts?
The dealer who mentioned this participates in Costco Auto program. Got this response when I’d mentioned about another Costco dealer closer to place. Not all dealerships participate in the Costco Auto program. It’s worth going thru them though to get a competitive quote.
Just curious... where are you? Someone else did this and as I understand is fully refundable if you find you don’t like it in the end. I think I’d do it, if you get your price. If you do get your price, please share. My dealer wants me to secure the vehicle with a deposit after finalizing the price over email. Not sure if I should proceed. Any advice?
I did that with my 2019 touring factory order. I live in Oregon and emailed several dealers with exactly what I wanted on the car. At that time I got $1,000 below invoice. Thanks jmw15. I guess $1000 under invoice is a good deal in PNWI did that with my 2019 touring factory order. I live in Oregon and emailed several dealers with exactly what I wanted on the car. At that time I got $1,000 below invoice. I was buying
2, but that did not faze the dealer.
The deposit is refundable if you want out for any reason. The dealer was Royal Moore in Hillsborough.
btw I never enter the showroom except to get the keys and the car.
Just bought one for $29589 ($1000 under invoice) + Doc fee of $150 + Lic fee $500 or so + tax and title. Total OTD around $32k. No "dealer fees" in mine.Do you see “Total dealer fees & accessories” of approx $150 in Seattle area? Not sure if this is a legit fee.
Perfectly normal. I've done this several times with different manufacturers/dealers.My dealer wants me to secure the vehicle with a deposit after finalizing the price over email. Not sure if I should proceed. Any advice?
