My 2019 Forester check engine light is on with error code P2682. It just passed 3-year warranty by 10 days and 5000 km over 60K km. The dealer says it's not major component and outside the limited warranty period and refuses to help. Is the bypass valve not part of the engine and major component? If it's not, what other things can I do to get the warranty?

anyone ever have this issue? The shop said it might be pvc PCV value they clear the code and said come back again if it comes back up. It did so going to shop tomorrow. Hopefully its nothing major. I notice I lost heat in the car as well. The car's temp on the engine stays on cold. My car is at...www.subaruforester.org
