Hey guys my friends at Ravspec Raceworks in Deer Park, NY.
Got me a set for the 2014 Forester.

They are BR Type with 6k springs front and back. I'm going to update this thread on how they run.

I am also local to Queens/Long Island NY if anyone is interested in sitting in the car to see how ride comfort is.

I'm not sure how groupbuy works on here, but I will also be trying to setup one with everyone. For now I'm going probably have the car install next week to the week after, depending on my damage on the front end by a hit and run cab.

Okay Thanks for the information. Am I allowed to leave the contact info from ravspec? if people would like to contact them. If not I will remove the information.

so there is about 6 inches on the coil and the rear strut is about 22 inches
front is about 17 inches from the gold plate to the end

I will compare stock once they are out.

Thanks I'm hoping I can help shed some light. My friends and I are going to see how low it goes and see what is a suitable height from experience.

They also told me 6k should be pretty good if the valving of the coils are right.

After watching some videos from Foresterlive I kind of want to see how durable the stock suspension is.

Sweet! H&R is suppose to get back to me in October about fitting my car (as the test car). I doubt they will do coilovers but if they do it would be sweet.

Yea hopefully. My plan is to see how much room and low the bc racing can go.

Then go from there for a usable height. My friends at Ravspec have a lot of experience with lowering cars/ wheel specs. So it be a good baseline for everyone down the line.

Sorry again my repairs are slow since they are waiting on backorder parts from subaru =(

So this is what happened when you get side swipped by a cabbie running a light in nyc and then running off.

dam mang i'm sorry...were the LEDs salvageable?

always my problem living in NYC is whether or not to get a new car for that reason...either you get dented parked or get dented driving...its wah i call urban offroading...lolxz

I looked at some of the hardware it isn't the same unfortunately.
So I didn't try it.

My car should be done later tonight. They finally figured out the right part number.

i was looking into ur coilover part number; pt. #F-23. i'm assuming BCRacing hasn't updated their site or your test fitting for them. They actually don't seem to have any F-23 part number. the SH series coilovers are marked as F-13.

i was wondering bc i wanted to see if there was anything else that would be compatible for the SJ Forester.

Our knowledge of it is that

the front any is 10+ legacy
rear is 08-13 wrx/sti sedan

exhaust and endlinks and sway bars fit. can't confirm anything since I haven't put on those exact parts but for the most part people say subaru likes to reuse parts.

so the fender is 29 inches from the ground after i installed the bcs out of the box. I'm going to wait to adjust the ride height but there is at least 4 inches of threading to play with. My mud flaps actually almost touch on the ground.

to get to the trunk you need to pull out the rear strofoam and pop out 2 clips on each side.

Image

the holes are where the clips are just you a flat head or a clip tool

Image

rear strut

Image

in the rear strut you have to just lower the cross beam so loosen the endlink for the sway bar and the part at the bottom of the strut.

Once you do this the strut comes out pretty easily and drops when you take the top nuts out.

Image

I think my friend said you just had to do one side at a time but when you put them back together you need to finish the other side first

the fronts are huge compared to the bcracing fronts

not much to the front install just take out the bolts

about 29 inches off the ground from the fender
it still has to settle, and I only put the settings at 12.

The ride height helps a lot with the body roll.
6000k springs are pretty soft but enough to not make the ride too harsh.

I do feel a bit more bumps than stock suspension. I think the car should have been like this stock.

I think with 12 clicks and day 2 of the springs settling you can notice the road more.

Its not so soft, but the handling is great on turns. I guess you have to loose comfort to gain performance. My friend said he will help me with the rebound/ dampening in a few weeks.

Anyone can measure stock xt height from the floor to the start of the fender for me?

You should take note of the change in hub center to fender lip dimensions to give everybody a non-tire dependent record of the differences.
I would be interested in seeing how it ends up comparing to previous chassis designs.

My '07 is at 13/13¼" F/R for reference.

btw, i believe bc has lifetime warranty if their stuff ever breaks and they do a 1 for 1 swap if you dont like teh 6kg springs, you can pull them off and send it in adn request a different one. give them a call, im sure they'll confirm. I had BR type one my wrx and they were awesome! they included the warranty and swap deal.
