I searched the forum (and Google) but didn't find an answer. Where is the PCV valve located on my 2010 XT? A picture would be great!

2010 Forester XT - where do they hide the PCV valve? A picture would be great.
You still have an EJ engine, right? Look at your vacuum piping. There is a large (~1/2") rubber hose that attaches to the vacuum manifold, goes off towards the firewall, then disappears. The PCV valve is on the hidden end of this hose. Easy to get to, if you have only 2 fingers on each hand . . .

In the following pic, the intercooler has been removed. It's an awkward picture of an awkward and inaccessible part.

Have a replacement on hand if you try to remove it. They're easy to break.

Behind the center of the intake manifold there are 3 vacuum lines attached in a triangle. The PCV is the one closest to the throttle body. I think, and maybe someone can confirm that there are 2 check valves, one on the manifold, one on the tee from the block.

Under the intercooler, huh? Wouldn't have thought they would hide it there but ok. Had my spark plugs changed at the dealership yesterday - my fat paws just don't fit there. Not to mention my aching back from bending over the fender for a few hours. They wanted $67 additional to change the PCV valve. I used to work as a mechanic back in the 80's and know the hardest part these days I'd finding the location of the part.

Thanks for the replies and pictures. Now just to wait for wifey to shut the car off long enough for it to cool down...
