Where can you rent a Subaru Forester?

Does anyone know where you can rent a Subaru Forester in the Greater Toronto Area? Budget Rental was apparently renting them at one time. But every time I call them they say they do not have any in their fleet. Does anyone know where I can rent a Subaru Forester for day, week, weekend or month?

(I also earlier tried to rent a Forester loaner vehicle from a few Subaru dealerships in hopes of trying them out longer then a test drive, but a short test drive was all they ever allowed.) Your help is much appreciated!

The last fall, when I took my '03 in for service to Downtown Subaru, they gave me a trade-in 2010 Forester for the day. Usually it's an Impreza, but I asked if they had any Foresters.

You might try a used car lot, or a non-Subaru dealer with a Forester on the lot.

I actually found a dealer in TN that let me take a 2015 Forester "demo" model for a 2-day, 250 mi test drive. Check all available dealers. Some are more understanding than others!

So looks like Discount Car and Truck Rentals at 369 West Street South, Orillia, ON, rent Subaru Foresters and Outbacks.

If only a few more would rent them closer to the Toronto area too..

If anyone's still wondering, in Edmonton you can rent Imprezas, XVs, AND FORESTER XTs from Thrifty.

Never done it but i've seen them driving around with those bumper stickers and I drove past their lot one time... wanted an excuse to rent a car from them but never have.

Just an F.Y.I, National in Ottawa (Canada) doesn't have any Subaru Foresters to rent, however they told me that somtimes they get a Forester returned there from Toronto or Montreal so in that case they could rent but ususally send them back as soon as possible. Hertz in Ottawa (St. Laurent, Bank St & Airport) have Subaru Foresters & Crosstreks in their fleet however they cannot guarantee the make/model of a rental therefore they said to call same day or for a weekend call on a Wed and ask them to reserve but you don't have to leave credit card info so if they can't keep until Sat you are not obligated to rent.

my local dealer was selling ex-rental foresters that came from national... they were not in the best of shape despite only having 10-15k kms on them. people who rent these use them hard for camping, bad weather travel, etc. and it shows :crying:
