Trunk floor replacement ideas

So the trunk floor caved some time ago after carrying one too many cases of paper and I'm looking for some diy replacement ideas. This was not a problem until I had to remove the styrofoam in the spare tire compartment in order to fit a full size spare. Right now I'm thinking of tracing the shape of the current trunk floor on a sheet of 1/2 thick PVC, cutting it out and covering it with speaker foam. The PVC is a little flimsy so I would make a brace.

Other ideas are welcome.

I went with the plywood idea today. Traced the shape out of the current (broken) floor and cut it to size. The plywood is about 1/2" - 3/4" thick and I cut / glued commercial rugs on both sides (I could not locate speaker foam at Home Depot and my lunch break was coming to an end.

/All in all I'm really happy with how it turned out. Full size spare fits without raising floor but I had to deflate the tire completely (215/75/15 GG AT2s) but I do plan on redoing this and raising the trunk floor in a couple of months (I needed a quick fix so I can pick up supplies for work).

Thanks for all the ideas!
