What makes you want a Crosstrek, especially if you love your Forester? I like the extra cargo room of the Forester, personally, but I admittedly have never driven a Crosstrek.

@Tao and Forester touring I am one of many members here whose household has a Forester and a Crosstrek. The Crosstreks are very nice. I almost bought one instead of my 15 Forester, but I prefer larger vehicles with plenty of space to store crap. My wife on the other had absolutely loves her 15 Crosstrek. It works great for her as she prefers smaller hatchbacks instead of something like the Forester and Outback. I drive it now and then and it is really nice and fun little vehicle. The paddle shifters are a hoot.

Unless you want/need the extra interior room of the Forester, I suggest taking a serious look at them. They are fantastic vehicles.

I like the looks of Crosstrek. It is smaller. Which means that it has less cargo space but less space for 2nd row passengers too. Back passenger air ventilation comes only from underneath of front seats. Where as Forester has a separate ventilates. Not forgetting USB connectors at 2nd row too.

I am interested of Forester mainly but then thinking same question every now and then. Would Crosstrek be enough or not. Smaller car would be better but so is this extra space, which comes only with Forester. Also Forester has the latest safety equipment. Such as rear crossing traffic alert ,rear autonomous braking and driver focus system.
