Subaru Gold Plus Warranty Prices

Have any of you purchased the Gold Plus warranty from SOA? I did get one for my wife's 2018 Crosstrek and chose the monthly payment plan (for us, $102.50/month) and, it's now time to do the same for my 2019 Forester.

It's been a couple of years now and I'm looking for anyone who purchased it recently to report in their prices...

Thanks for the help, folks!

There are a couple of threads about the warranty prices paid... There may have been some changes in how you can purchase the warranty after the purchase of the car. I believe one is that you can only buy the warranty from a dealer in your region, rather than from any dealer.

Most of the "this is what I paid" posts I've seen recently have been between 1200 and 1700 for the warranty alone (no included service agreement for maintenance).

Used to be you could buy a warranty from any dealer and some were very competitive with their advertising and pricing.
In late 2010, as the factory warranty on my 2008 Forester was approaching the 3 year anniversary of the car's purchase in 2007, I bought a Subaru Gold Plus Extended Warranty, 6yr/60k, $0 deductible, for $775 online. It was sold by Mastria Subaru in Massachusetts.
I live in Louisville KY, and never made a claim on it.
But then, nothing has ever happened to my Forester even yet that could be claimed on a warranty.

I bought a third party warranty when I got my 2015 FXT with 70k miles.

It covers any part that is not wear and tear and I paid $2500 for 7 years or 100k miles from when i I bought it. And its good anywhere in the country, doesn't have to be at a subaru either

So im good for 6 more years or 174k miles.

I've used the warranty for multiple things and all were covered. Subaru just bills the warranty. It broke down to 40$ per month extra on my loan.

So far they have covered

Rear Wheel bearings
A/C compressor
Upper oil pan gasket leak (they had to pull the motor)
Replaced my A-Arms when the bushings were bad
There was 1 more thing but I cant remember.

... the warranty has saved me thousands.

I think you guys are insane paying 100$ a month for a warranty plan. Most insurance companies have an option to add coverage for car repairs for maybe 40$ extra per month. I know Geico has it.

OUCH!! Don't purchase it directly from SOA!! By contacting my local dealers, last year I was able to negotiate a price of $ 1,750 for an additional 7 years (64,000 miles) of SOA Gold Plus with $ 0 deductible, which works out to only $ 20.83 / month after my factory warranty expires in two years.

In my experience when a car doesn't get used very much thats when you start to have problems with it.

Parts start rusting, gaskets get dry, mice get I to things, batteries die.

Its good practice to at least start the car once a week if not take it for a spin to get all the fluids and parts moving.

I got mine from Mastria in 2018 for my 2018. I live in NY. is it true we can no longer do that? I usually keep my cars forever but with the trade ins being more than what I paid I am debating going straight to more payments. They would be significantly less. But not being able to price match on Gold could cost me a fortune. I did this on all my cars. Toyota, nissan. But once I went subaru I dont want to go back. I really want the car start from app ability most of all from the 2022.

No idea my car is currently at the dealer for a crank shaft/cam shaft code and its getting covered under my third party warranty again. I know I can transfer the warranty to the next person if I sell the car and then I would just get the same third party warranty again instead of subarus if I traded in.

Its a better warranty for less money. Subaru also isn't reluctant to looks for any other problems when I bring it in cause they arnt the ones that would be paying to fix it. They are just billing my warranty company so they're always cool with digging through the car to catch any problems when I bring it in.

Bought a lease return 2019 Forester yesterday from a NY Subaru dealer. I offered $1500 for a Gold 7/100k/$100 deductible plan and the finance gentleman accepted it. Now I wish I'd started lower!
