So I continue to deal with this driver side cylinder head oil leak. I'm going to fix it myself so I was looking at some exploded parts diagrams on an online Subaru parts website. Unless I'm missing something, is there no "seal" for where the spark plug "well" goes through to the head? I see the valve cover gasket. Do the plugs not pass through the valve cover? IDK, I haven't taken anything apart yet so I was just trying to figure out as much as I can before I rip it apart.
Also, I haven't determined yet if it's leaking from just the valve cover or if its where the cam "carrier" mates with the head. Do I have to pull the damn cam out to fix that? :icon_eek: I usually just take unfamiliar stuff apart first to figure it out but the wife needs the vehicle for work so trying to educate as much as possible first to save on down time.
