Anyone have an OBDII Scanner they can recommend for a Subaru? Do they make one that can connect to a iPhone? Thanks.
But worth it if she's hot! I was going to suggest a Ultra Gauge or Scan Gauge as well. Costs more than the phone/dongle options but man it's nice to have all that data at your fingertips at all times without having to mess with your phone.I'm sure they make an adapter that will talk to an iPhone. They make adapters to make toilets talk to an iPhone.
What do you plan to use your scanner for? If used as a garage tool, then buy a rugged stand-alone scanner that reads and erases. Actron makes some cheap ones < $40. Remember: two functions are all that matter - read, erase. Sometimes, when I take a long road trip, I throw it in the vehicle. Who knows, I might forget to put on the gas cap.
If you want some kind of continuous monitoring, then consider the Scan Gauge II or the Ultra Gauge. Both mount on your dash or visor and give you continuous readouts - more than you ever wanted to know. And, both will permit you to clear codes - not quite as easy as a stand-alone scanner, but still doable. But, if the hippie girl next door wants you to fix her car, then it's a nuisance to take your Scan Gauge II out of service.
