Hey guys, I'm new here so hopefully I'm not asking this in the wrong section. Im going to be getting a 2017 subaru forester XT soon, I use a wheelchair to get around so Id like to lower it as soon as possible. I also want to increase the handling performance and make it drive like a sport car, hopefully like a STI. Would it be possible to fit STI springs/struts ? I saw somewhere on here of someone recommending 2012 STI struts/springs but it didn't mention if/how they would fit and if it needed modification. Plus i the person that made the post didn't go with the STI set up. If the stock STI set up does fit, are there any aftermarket suspension for the STI that would be recommended ? Anyway I'm really curious to here some opinions from some subaru enthusiast, thanks for listening!

I'm not sure about swapping in the STI suspension on the SJ's, but I can tell you that a set of RSR sport springs will drop you 1.5 inches from the stock height. Couple these springs with an STI rear sway bar upgrade and some good tires (wider) and presto you've got a big WRX that is easy to get in and out of.
Welcome btw!

I was looking around on here and found that Raz007 uses Feal coil overs, which happen to be just a couple hours south from me. They make coil overs for the 14+ forester xt, looks like ill be copying Raz007 on his drop height and camber adjustment (with the STI rear sway bar)

Yup, I have the Feal 441s. You can get your 3 inch drop easily, but remember that in doing so, you'll need to also get adjustable rear camber arms and toe arms, unless you want to run way out of spec. You'll also need to think about tires, as my stock rubber did rub while turning, and also on big dips hit at speed in the rear. So it's possible to go low, but it ain't cheap :wink2:

Yeah, sorry to rain on your parade! Haha it's not cheap, but it's worth it in the end. I have so much fun in my FXT....... I don't miss either of my WRXs anymore.
