Purchased gear wrench smart scan tool from Amazon USA just out curiosity to check for any stored faults ! Unbelievable bit of kit for the money with lifetime updates, had a few stored codes all battery related and cleared with ease. Great host of functions including live information highly recommend

I got one with some gift money for $114 on Amazon (Edit, now $105!)
Seems like it reads all of the computers.
I haven't messed around with the bi-directional stuff yet.

Maybe competing pricewise with Ediag Elite?

I spent a few minutes on the chat line with them and they said it does do relearn. I ordered one and Im sure that there are a few others who have that will decide one way or another.
At the 8 minute mark he STATES THE GEARWRENCH WILL DO RELEARN. Maybe Gearwrench can elaborate on coverage for models.

Haven't had the chance to try a relearn with it unfortunately. Though I do have a transfer clutch on an Outback and a CVT replacement on an Ascent. I have been using it at work and it's super quick to boot up, pair, and scan. Faster than our Toughbooks with SSM, other than maybe SSM5. I did notice once that the scan all modules feature didn't pick up DTC(s) that were stored in the module. I scanned afterwards with SSM4 and picked it up, though I remember it was an older vehicle and that was a quirk using SSM3 scan all modules. Don't remember what DTC it was, whether or not it was a manufacturer specific DTC.
Data logging is pretty quick for what it is. Definitely not as fast as our wired Denso interfaces, but acceptable for bluetooth.
I dislike that the special functions (EPB maintenance mode, CVT re-learn) are sometimes separate from the code scan feature, though maybe that is standard on an aftermarket scan tool. One thing I did notice it did not have the ability to activate is coolant fill mode on the vehicles with a thermo-control valve. Though perhaps it will be available in the future.
No provision for a lanyard to attach so you don't forget it in a vehicle, so I used a ziptie on it and put the lanyard on that.
That's all I can remember off the top of my head. I'll have to try my car tomorrow and confirm it will at least start a CVT re-learn.

I had a topdon phoenix and left the obd2 dongle in my '21 STI and went on vacation for a week. I couldn't unlock the car the battery was so dead. I had to use the physical key hidden in the key fob. I charged the battery overnight and while checking it after a few hours I noticed that there were leds flashing on the dongle. That was my head-slapping moment.
