Fuel Economy

Griffo,
Nothing too scientific, but i average about 500km per tank in my XT.
My driving is generally a mix of highway and crappy peak hour crawl.
Fuel economy has improved after about 10,000km.
Consumption all depends how hard you push!

BroadBean,
Am i right in thinking that the Liberty and XS share the same 2.5?
My uncle has a newbie Liberty. Picked it up 2 weeks ago.
I spoke to him today and he's close to filling his tank for the second time.
His odo was displaying 605km travelled with fuel left! Now i know that the Liberty has a slighty bigger tank, but only by about 3 or 4 litres.
You shouldnt hesitate in getting SA to check your vehicle ASAP.
I will acknowledge tho, that his Liberty will have done a reasonable amount of highway driving, but the economy there still seems fantastic for a newbie. (He's quite anal about resetting his odo as he fills.)
My XT took a few thousand km before the economy settled down.
Then again, that could have just been me with the LOUD pedal!

Good luck and i hope anything wrong may be sorted out without 2 much stress.

Justin.
