So I've owned Subaru's since 2000 and I would say I'm quite competent on the "old" stuff (EJ25 phase II, EJ20, EJ255). But there are some new things here that I'm just curious about. I tried searching around here and the Google, and failed to get any real answers.
That big computer module above the ABS...is that the TCU?
The sensor on the inlet manifold...Did Subaru finally wise up and realize they need to read the temp after the intake charge has been cooled and not in the airbox?
That spongy loaf thing on the driver's side head... The EJ255 used to have the big auxiliary air pump to beat start up emissions, is something like that going on here? What exactly are they doing if so?
