I'm 99% sure this doesn't belong and I apologize in advance, feel free to move. I couldn't decide the best category to put it into, and I tried searching as I'm sure someone has covered it, but as always, the search function on this site from my phone (mobile and full site), always yields NO RESULTS, no matter what I search. I tried "gauge", "gauges", "boost", "boost gauge " and even "turbo"... I get NADA... so I'm sorry!
Anyways, long story short, I bought a cheap eBay Chinese boost gauge (Dragon) a while back and went to install today despite not having a wiring diagram. It has a sensor/sending unit, and both the sensor and gauge have 3 wires green, red and black. I figured green was sensor to gauge, red was power and black was ground. Hooked it up and it lights up, shows -14psi but doesn't move. I touched the ground/black AND green to the green from the sensor (with red still connected to 12v), and it lit up brighter and went from -14 to 30psi and the warning light came on. I'm guessing I wired it right and the sensor is junk or something, but I was hoping someone here has installed one and knew for sure the wiring. I googled it like crazy, checked ebay listings, etc and I can't find any wiring instructions online for these gauges. Any info is appreciated!
