Disable microwave sensors on SG alarm?

I'd like a way of keeping the dog in the car for a few mins which I pop to the shops etc and to do this I need to disable the internals for the alarm. In previous cars this has just been a button hidden away somewhere but since I don't have a manual for mine, I'm a bit lost.

Any thoughts guys?

The best way is to press the key fob whilst the key is ignition and turned to ACC or engine running. then when you get out and close the doors, lock with the key fob button as normal, but the indicators will flash another 4 or more times indicating the sensors have been disabled.

I do this all the time to air mine with the windows down on a nice day. if someone tries to open the door, the alarm will go off.

The other way is to press #5 on the keypad before you get out, but I find the fob way much easier.

Is it not illegal to leave a dog in an unattended car if your not a policeman?
Never heard that before, so I doubt it is true :biggrin:

This is what I do in the STi:

1) sitting in the car with all the doors closed, lock all doors via the central locking switch/button;

2) manually push back the door locking switch on the driver's door, open and exit the car;

3) close driver's door, manually lock it with the KEY.

Done. All doors are locked, and interior alarm not set. Immobiliser will have kicked in by now also.
