Binding in tight turns - should I go to the dealer?

My folks bought a new 15 Forester CVT new last year. It currently has about 9000 easy miles on it. I've been using it this week while my regular car is in the shop.

To pull out of my driveway I have to make full lock turn to get out of the carport (basically a 180 degree turn). With the wheel turned all the way and rolling forward in drive (not really pushing on the accelerator much), you feel a binding/pulsation like the front wheels are grabbing and then releasing/slipping, not a smooth turn. It feels just like you are in a regular 4x4 vehicle on dry pavement with the grippy/hopping motion, except not as bad, and so far not bad enough to make the tires squeal. I do have a rough concrete driveway, I'm thinking on smooth asphalt it may squeak a bit...

The rest of the time, it appears to drive completely normally, just when the wheel is turned sharply. I know this car has an electronically controlled AWD system, but since I have never owned one myself, I don't know if this is normal operation or not. Any other owners car do this? I saw some forums on the older models with torque bind, which is what this seems like - but all the remedies were to replace worn parts or flush fluids - this car is almost brand new....so that is why I kind of thought it may be normal...

Yeah, I felt it occasionally on my 2014 XT ( I have the '17 now ). I have to make a 90 degree turn when I exit my driveway and I'd be under light throttle as well. I wouldn't describe it as binding though; I'd say it was definitely more like the outer tire was slipping a bit. I never really thought too much about it. As you said, it drove normally otherwise. Maybe it would do it only in the morning, with cold tires and lower outside temperatures. Not sure. I'll try to see if I notice this with my '17.
