I'm trading in my 06 XT/m for a new '09 or '10 2.5X manual.
Looking to put 215/70-R16's on the OEM stock steel wheels.
Will this dimension fit on the '09-'10 Forester?

(from Discount Tire site)
"Dunlop Radial Rover A/T
Dunlop's most popular on and off-road A/T light truck tire. 70 and 75-series sizes.
P215/70R-16 99S"

Thanks

Hey--I was the one who did the 215/70x16 threads on the '09 Foz. No problems at all with this size. If you check Tirerack reviews, though, the Dunlops you're looking at score pretty darn low. The OEM Bridgestones are REALLY low in scores.

One observation is that the OEM Bridgestones are H rated tires--good for 130 mph, and I would be reluctant to move down to S rated tires. The BFG's are T rated, which is in the middle. S rated is good to 112 mph, which is probably fine for you and me both, but might handle a bit sloppier.

The BFG Long Trail T/A Tours are rated 5th of all their highway all season truck tires, and are quite inexpensive. I got mine at Discount Tire, so they definitely are available there. Just checked and they are $106 each (plus extras) and then there is a $70 rebate on a set, so they are a great deal right now.

Thanks for the replys.
As an update I've decided to keep my '06 XT/M. It's too nice of a ride and I'm not too thrilled with the new generation Foresters. Too washy in the steering department and they look, well, like every other crossover/CUV...

It's time to trick out my '06!

Minor Up-Grades to my '06 FMT 5spd:

I'll be putting 215/65/R16 AT/S tires on a new set of rims, tinting windows and buying a full set of neoprene seat covers. Will also be looking to put LLBEan addition self-leveling struts/springs in the rear as I find the stock rear to be a bit saggy...
