Purchased new 2025 Subaru engine was making strange grinding sound check out the video. Subaru of America had Head Engineer check out the vehicle. The head engineer claimed it needed a new transmission. The transmission was changed over the 2025 summer got the vehicle back and it stalled a week later due to a shifter issues that connects to the transmission. After 2 months in the shop and an additional 2.5 weeks for everything to be "repaired". I get the vehicle back for it to still perform the same noise. Took it to two different locations and both had checked all their vehicles and confirmed only a few performed the noise. The same "head engineer" that claimed it needed a new transmission after having it another additional 5 days and rehearing the noise tried to claim the noise was "normal" although all the technicians at both locations did claim there was a transmission issue. Spoke to Subaru of America and the only thing they could assist me with was telling me my vehicle was ready for pickup because the "head engineer" that originally claimed it needed a new transmission and then claimed it was normal refused to admit to them there was an issue. Beware do not buy any Subarus. They have not worked out all the issues according to multiple technicians. I understand many older styles have performed great for many people but the new products are defective. During this process I was given a total of 3 courtesy vehicles and 1 out of the 3 replicated the same sound.
