Next month, my 2020 Forester Limited will be five years old. The manual says spark plugs should be replaced at 60,000 miles or five years. I have approximately 18,000 miles on the car. I am older, drive less, and there were no long trips during the pandemic. I understand that fluids and some rubber components deteriorate with time; thus the mileage or time to change. However, when a car is not being driven, I would not think that time would affect the spark plugs. Am I missing something? Does anyone think I should spirng for spark plug replacement now? What does a standard plug replacement on a 2020 cost?
