Is there any way to add a heated steering wheel to an early 19 limited? are the connections already there to where it is plug@play with all oem parts?

@seandrisc If its anything like the heated wheel on my 17’ Touring dont bother.
Its luke warm at best and limited to a very small area at 9&3 o’clock on the wheel.
The heated wheel on our F-Pace Jag ? Now thats a “heated wheel”. [emoji91]
Unfortunately my Fozzy one is a joke.

I don't think it's that bad. It does its job. At least it's not overly heated where it feels like your hand is on fire unlike the heated seats where there is no compromise between low and high. The low is barely heated while the high one is way too hot and lights your ass on fire lol. The one thing i wish the heated steering wheel did was heat the entire wheel. Not sure why Subaru thought a partially heated wheel was sufficient

@seandrisc There is a thread in the Outback forum about this, with part numbers. In addition to the steering wheel, a control unit, switch, and adapter cable are needed. It's probably similar in the Forester.

Not all automakers heat the entire steering wheel. On the other hand, my BMW steering wheel is fully heated.

Just guessing, I think the partially heated wheels are made that way to encourage proper hand placement on the steering wheel.

I'd really like to add a heated steering wheel to my 2019 Forester Premium. Did anyone here ever end up trying?

At a dealer in Washington, I found a diagram for the steering wheel pieces: https://parts.eastsidesubaru.com/images/parts/subaru/fullsize/S14_34101596.png

The parts it calls out for the heated portion include 34353, 34953, 34382, and 34312 on the diagram. Parts wise, those come out to be:

34353: Control Unit, Steering. ECU Steering Wheel. (PN 34353FL000) ($153 online)
34953: Adapter Cord Steering Wheel. Adapter Cord Heater. (PN 34335FL020) ($12.54 online)
34382: Tapping Screw. (PN 34336FA000) ($1.93 online)
34312: Steering Wheel Heater. (Black) (PN 34312FL022VH) ($519.74 online)

I'd also expect there's a fuse involved somewhere. I also don't see a switch listed, but I'm not sure where it is on the 2019 Touring.
