2018 touring. Green Starlink light in overhead console never goes out and I do not remember it always being on before. Having battery issues all of a sudden with it draining so wondering if anyone knows? I did find somewhere it is supposed to go out after 2 minutes, mine is not going out at all. Scheduled for update but not for 3 more weeks. Dealer has not helped answer this question. Thinking Starlink is draining the new battery by not going to sleep mode. No mods or changes going on, yes checked charging system and changed out battery, made sure nothing left on, etc. (sube guy 25 years). Any way to temp shut down Starlink? Short of opening up console and disconnecting, or does the green light always stay on and I just do not remember? Thanks in advance. Been searching everywhere for this answer.

Update and considered solved.

the green light in the overhead console is NOT supposed to stay on for Starlink.

the thought was the green light was on since unit was not updated from G3 to G4 yet. They updated to current software. Since my car battery was going dead, they did a parasitic draw test and came in at .190 Amps that they tracked down to the Starlink dcm. Replaced dcm and draw down to .037. Dcm replaced under warranty, but not the back up battery, 65.00. Had that replaced as well. Entire job priced out at $792.51! Fortunately I only paid for the battery.
Parts noted:
86229VA110 telema rpr assy prm
57433SG000 battery dcm

from start to finish including getting the part was in shop 1 week.

hope this helps someone down the road.
