Hey

Anyone know if tires from a 2015 SUbaru Forester 2.0XT Premium will fit 18x8.5 wheels?

Will this mess the speedo?

that's what we get as well in the US- I wasn't overly impressed with the tire; looking at tirerack ratings evidently I'm not the only one

Finally got my tires after running the stock Deulers for 70k

I went with the following:
Toyo Open Country ATII 255/55R18
1.25" custom lift
Powder coated stock rims semi gloss black

I'll be adding some spacers to push out the wheels a couple millimeters. Didn't have the time to do it all at once as they'll be custom made.

Great post/pics - I love the wheels/tires (I had Toyo's on my Jeep and loved them).
1) Do you think those wheels/tires would fit my 17 XT without a lift?
2) Are those stock Subaru wheels painted black; 48mm setback?

Thanks!

Question for you guys, would there be any problems fitting 235/60/r18 tires on a stock SJ XT with stock rims?

they would fit the rim w/o any issue, the issue would be with ~ 2" taller tire will they fit w/o rubbing on wheel wells/suspension??? that I don't know

a 235/50/18 would be closest to stock height, next closest 235/55/18

are you trying to gain more clearance?

I want more comfort with higher sidewall, without having to get 17" rims, and this spec is available.

Since you seem to be the guy to talk to about tires...I am trying to figure out if I can run 17x9 with an off-road tire and if so, what size would be best to avoid rubbing? I plan on lifting 1.6in to help.
Old post but what did you end up getting? I, too want a 17x9 and with 235/65

How's the inner clearance? Any more photos? I want to run 17x9 with 235/65... I don't like the way 17x8 wheels look.

I haven't had any problems I lowered it and had a wheel alignment. Occasionally It rubs with a sharp turn in reverse but that could be my front mud flaps. Will try to get more pictures when I get back to New York.

Thanks for the reply. Im afraid to pull the trigger on some rpf1s 17x9 +45 in black... With the tires I want, I'm afraid the 0.88inch towards the strut is too much

So just picked these up. I played it safe by getting 17x8 +35 like a few others are running. Wrapped with dynapro 235/65/17. Will mount next week when I get lug nuts. 17x9 would have looked nicer but probably not as functional.

Bathroom scale with tires, 48.2 lb. Seems about right.

@Tmy, those will look so good!

I am looking to do a 19 x 9.5 35et wheel and 265/45R19 tires on an SJ with a 2-3 inch suspension drop. Anyone have any words of wisdom on a set-up like this.

My other choice right now if this too extreme is a 19 x 8.5 45et wheel and 245/50R19 tires.

Thanks,
-Matt

Just put these BFG AT KO2's on last week. Finally available in Canada. 225/65/17. We went with 17x7 et42 Touren TR9's for wheels. stock suspension and so far I've only heard them rub very lightly when I was backing out of a parking spot. Huge improvement on ice and in snow compared to the stock Duellers, which were scary on anything icy.
