2016 - Dome interior light doesn't come on when doors opened?

Hello all,

2016 Forester. When I open any of the doors, the two lights in the upper console near the driver light up, but the dome light over the rear seats does not light. It's not a bulb, the lamp comes on with the three-way switch in the "on" position.

Any thoughts/theories/suggestions???

It could be the three way switch (no power to the light on the door open setting) since the light works.
This might be corrected with some electrical contact cleaner if it is the switch, and/or the switch could be tested with a jumper.
It could also be anything else in the wiring harness, or a faulty relay..
With any auto electric issue methodical tracing tends to result in a better outcome than guesswork.
If you can follow a wiring diagram, get one.
