2015 - MT - Getting through firewall for power?

I'm trying to get some power through the firewall on my 2.5i Forester 6sp manual. I went digging through the engine bay, trying to find a nice grommet to run the power. The best I could come up with is a round grommet high on the driver's side, by the heater hoses.

Does anyone know if that grommet gets through to the passenger compartment, and how easy to get at on the passenger side?

What about the grommet circled in yellow? Can that also be used?
I used the red one to run wire for an underseat subwoofer - it came out near the steering wheel linkage inside and I seem to recall was on kind of a weird angle to get the wire through (from the engine bay -- I fought with it quite a bit). However, the yellow one I seem to recall came out behind the middle of the dash and was an even bigger PITA to get to when I tried, hence why I just used the red one. That said, maybe it is easier to poke something through than the other, or if you're already tearing apart a lot of the dash.

Like @GeoJosh said above, this is behind the driver's side wheel well liner and the wires are easy to reach on the inside. I used an ice-pick to make the holes and you need to have the wire ready to slide in before you remove the pick as the holes seal up and are hard to find. Always check the inside of a grommet before poking the holes to make sure you don't poke anything you don't want to poke. The tight seal on the wires are water and dust tight.
