My local dealer said no,and I find that hard to believe .Subaru Canada said to contact nearest dealer...having difficulty finding anything in print on what exactly gets coverage.

I just got told by the dealer that my CVT front pump oil seal is leaking (2015 Forester). It has 91k miles and get this, is about 9 years 9 months old! So from what I am reading in the linked PDF above ... this is covered under the 100k/10yr warranty extension .... right?

Does anyone have any opinion, agree/disagree?

Here's the only possible snafu I can see - I don't have the original paperwork that was given to me from the dealer I bought it from (I am the first and only owner of this vehicle), but I did find the card from the extended warranty that I bought on the day or purchase, and it confirms the date, and that there was only about 20 miles on the vehicle - so I know for sure that's the purchase date. Presumably Subaru or the dealer have a way to look up for sure the actual purchase date of the vehicle?

my 2014 Forester 2.5L base model, viscous coupling start to bind around 120k miles, when I make tight turn it make click sound, sold to sister in law, they drive until today 180k miles, it still seems ok other wise.

What does the vehicle state issued title state…vehicle purchased new or used?

If you call SOA Customer Support (800-782-2783) and give them your VIN number, they should be able to give you the "in service" date. Also, I would also think that any Subaru service department would have access to that date with the VIN number.

I called Subaru customer advocacy this morning, they advise that the extended Subaru CVT warranty runs until October 2024. Getting that $1600 fix for free feels like getting an extra paycheck! Will call the local dealer today.

And yes ... she confirmed that the dealers have access to the exact same info ... so they should have figured this out themselves, without me having to do all the legwork! Poor!
