If price is no object, I prefer to use OEM parts. I need new CV axles for the front of my 2015 XT premium. OEM prices are high, has anyone used aftermarket CV axles they would recommend? I may have to bite the bullet, but I'd rather not.
2015 - Aftermarket front CV axles - recomendations?

What replacement brand (not oem) do you recommend for Forester 2.5 CVT 2017 Front CV Joint Axle Shaft? Is it the same dimensions for all 2017 Foresters?
I had tomhave a front axle replaced on our old ‘11 outback. The dealer did not have any so they put in an aftermarket reman part…and did not tell me. When it failed a few months later they tried to tell me it wasn’t covered because it was aftermarket…I reminded them they put it in. They put in OEM replacement and it went on until we sold that car. Long story short…if you can afford it…stick with OEM.
I'm not opposed to aftermarket parts. ....I use them. However, there are some components that I prefer to stick with OEM and this is one of them. I haven't had good luck with aftermarket / 3rd party reman axles. ....personally.
These are both positive endorsements. @Kean and @Canuk make very good arguments for OEM, especially when it concerns parts with exact tolerances. Edit: I should say with more demanding tolerances.
