Hello everybody.
That will be my first post here.
I am new to Subaru , new to Japanese cars and new to SUV's.
However I am not new to cars , owned a lot of them and hopefully more to come.
In summer I suddenly became a proud owner of 2014 Forester XT. I did not plan to change a car but after a test drive I was surprised and fell in love. I am very critical car owner and it is very hard for a car to make me fall in love with her , but Subaru did it.
Car had 150 000 kms on the clock , one owner and service history. It really drives like a dream and feels like new , engine is dry , no leaks , interior looks new etc.
Now to the problem (or not), during colder months now it developed a knock/tick which I did not hear before, it is coming from the driver side of the engine and could be heard only when engine is HOT.
I have made a video of it and I personally think it is the fuel pump ( My other car Is Jaguar and it does the same)
But because I am still very new to those engines this sound seems to be suspicious, especially knowing how infamous those engines are for different knocks and ticks.
So here is the video of engine
I have also made another one near the front left wheel , you can hear better from here.
Thank you for your answers and wish you all merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
