Thanks for your replies.
I have already got the BLS recall done about 7 months ago.
I did a lot of online reading so based on what was advised to other people with the same issue l went ahead and tightened the gas cap and removed and checked 7.5 amp fuses one of which is for EGI+Brake lights

Turned on the engine and both lights are off now.

I will not drive the car till Tuesday so we will see if the lights come back on again during next week

Lights has not come back on.
