Hi,

Guys, hope you will be help me with this swap. I bought recently the MOMO steering wheel from 05 FXT which looks like that:

In my personal opinion it looks much better than the stock one on my 04FXT and on top of it, it has the "function buttons" which should enable remote radio control which is very convenient.
My stock steering wheel looks like that:

BTW sorry for steeling someone pictures.

Now I have few questions:

1. Cruise control. I have hint that this will be tricky. On my 04FXT the cruise is enabled by the one of the buttons on the next to your knee. The same panel where you have your fog light buttons. I marked it red in this picture.

Now on the face lift version the cruise have been switch on by the center button on cruise controller on the steering wheel. Marked it blue on this picture:

I would like to keep the stock button working. Do you think this might any problems? And on the same time I much more like the newer version of the cruise controller so want to keep it and not swap it with the old/stock one. Can you see any problems with that? I prefer to prepare myself for any possible problems.

2. The radio control buttons. This is the thing I would love to have. It is so convenient. I had it in all my previous cars and really miss it in my Foz. Now I am not running the stock radio neither the speakers. My radio is Clarion WXZ468RMP. I have checked in manual and it is compatible with steering wheel remote controls. It has a special socket in which you should be able to put another socket from your stock installation. Could any of you guys could maybe help me with this? Wiring advice, electrical diagrams, and other info which might be helpful will be great appreciate.

3. The airbag. I have seen one of the guy done this swap years back

But there is no technical info really. Is this is just sort of plug and play task, or will require more work?

Many thanks in advance for all your help guys.

Can anyone could provide me a electrical diagram for 06-08 Foz for steering wheel remotes? I think, after reading several posts on NASOIC and Legacy forums, it won't be a very complicated operation apart from connecting the remotes from steering wheel to radio.
Never version of Foz offer this update (in Europe some of the 2005 pre-facelift as well). I have the diagrams up to 04' but the remote option wasn't offered at that time.
From what I see there are two options:
1. As the remote are in the wheel wiring is missing in the dash board. I can put a new wiring by my self. Probably a bit complicated.
2. Need a 'spring back wheel' (sorry if the naming is incorrect - by that I mean the mechanism which is sitting behind the steering wheel with plug for Airbag and other accessory.

I would be more than grateful for those diagrams (pdf, links) anything.
