Hi all,

I have a 2004 2.0XT which currently runs on the original 16" rims with 215/60/16 tires on them.

With the winter approaching, I am looking for a 2nd set of rims with wintertires on them and cam across a nice set, sized 205/70/15.
So total size (diameter) is almost the same.

I am wondering however if 15"rims will fit over my brakes...

anybody knows the answer..?

Thanks for the info guys!

This pretty much makes it a "no go" for me.

Am not willing to grind down the brake calipers only because i happen to stumble across a nice set of 15" rims.

I'll rather go looking for a set of 16" wheels.

I'm currently running 205/75/15 on MY 04 FXT they are Firestone Winterforce.
Exactly what I'm looking to run. In that size they're very cheap.

The rims are ET35 and 6.5 wide no rubbing as long as the offset is above 39 15's won't rub. If you choose ET48 will rub and wont fit taller tires do to strut clearance.
But this makes no sense. You are running ET35 but you say if above 39, which you aren't, they won't rub.

I see Amazon is selling 15x6 5x100 ET41 steelies for $63. Free shipping with Amazon Prime makes this better than looking for used ones. But will 15x6 ET41 work?
