01 Outback 4eat to replace a 99 Forester 4eat

I'm looking to replace my transmission in my 235K mile 99 Forester. My research tells me I have a 4.44 axle ratio, I have a line on 2 transmissions potentially, but they are from an '02 and '01 Outbacks. I keep finding mixed information on the axle ratios, either 4.11 or 4.44. Is there an easy way to tell by looking at the transmission what ratio it is running?

Is there anything else I should consider with this swap?

Just for verification, my trans is a TZ1A32CZAA-P8, the replacement is a TZ1A4ZCCBA, any reason the trans codes would not swap?
