XENON Projector Retrofit

This is a fabulous post. I will be doing this at some point and this is a great guide.

Can you give some reputable sources for the parts that you used? Or maybe PM me your ebay vendor. I've spent some time on HID planet and sources for parts are hard to figure out. At this point in my life I'm kinda a one stop shopping guy:)

Do you think the FX35 projectors are better than some others available (like the acura TL's) for this application?

I looked in your post and can't quite figure out your explanation about how you aim the projectors and if they be easily adjusted with the oem screws?

Heck, I think this should be a sticky.

Thanks,

Craigr,

Have you ever held the RS6 or E55 projectors in your hands for how they might fit in the Forester. I've been looking seriously at a set of the RS6's but I'd hate to get a set that wouldn't fit well. The TL's appear to be too large.

If they had these for 2004-2005 cars, I'd be on them like white on rice. This is the only reason that I envy you 2006-2008 guys. Oh, and your bigger injectors:biggrin: But my motor is still harder core:raspberry:

I also had a negative experience with Lightwerkz. They broke one of my housings and blamed it on shipping. Total BS. Also, the ballasts and harnesses they used were terrible. The ballasts leaked RF and my radio sounded like static with lights on. Most recently one of the light surrounds cracked. A lot of money for less than OK product. I replaced the bulbs, ballasts and harnesses myself with much better results. I would use somebody else for the retrofit labor if I had to do it over. Being good at marketing is different than making a quality product.
