2019 Forester base
I currently have the Goodyear Assurance WeatherReady (version 1) on my '19 Forester. Over 65,000 miles and they've served me well but time to replace them before the upcoming winter.
I'm considering the Goodyear Assurance WeatherReady (version 2) or The General Altimax 365 AW. The Goodyear is rated slightly better but the General's are a close 2nd at $300. less which includes a $100. rebate..
Does anyone have either of these tires on their Subaru's? If so, feel free to add your thoughts and opinion. Thanks!

I've had the Goodyears and I've got Falken WildPeak Trails now, which I like a lot better, but then I drive offroad and in the snow. The WildPeaks do work well on pavement and are quieter on the highway than the Goodyears were. YMMV

I don’t have the General Altimax 365 on my Subaru, but I just got them on my Sienna minivan and I have to say, so far in the week and a half of having them, I really like them. They feel good on both dry and wet pavement. Can’t speak for how they are in the snow yet of course.

The current $100 rebate was a nice bonus, although I would have gotten them either way. I didn’t know about the rebate until I was there getting them installed and the guy told me.

I had never owned a General tire before putting a set of Altimax Arctic 12 winter tires on my kid's car a few years back. They did well in competitive tire testing, and the price is certainly attractive. They did not disappoint in winter performance (and we've had Dunlop, Continental & Bridgestone winter tires before), but they did get a bit hard and noisy around 5/32" remaining, and I retired them early.

I switched her car over to another set of tires on Subi wheels I had in the garage, and will likely go with a set of Michelin CC3 (the successor to the CC2) for 3 season plus use. We've had CC2's on our Sienna, and I put them on our other daughter's RAV4 and they have handled two NY winters just fine. I'm still on the fence regarding true winter tires. She's now teaching up near Lake George, so maybe another set of Blazzaks would serve her better than any top quality all-weather tire.

I'm waiting too. I'm hoping that the CC3 reaches wide availability before she sees snow.

CC2 tread starts out deep. Like snow tire deep. IIRC, like 11/32"?
