My 2025 Forester Touring came with SiriusXM for three months and a three year subscription to Travel Link. I already had SXM in my previous car so the service just migrated to that account when the free service lapsed.
I've tried to use the Travel Link app for a while and find it quite useless. It will allow one to search for fuel stations and provide prices but it won't work while the car is in motion. So you need to stop to use it and it doesn't load in the time of a stoplight.
There is no traffic service at all and the other services are also useless.
I wouldn't think it was odd at all , but my Jeep has the app and it works if I'm moving or not and it has updates on all the traffic for miles.
