Looking to do a daily driver rally car build

My previous Forester was a Montana backroad sweeper. You seem to have the right ideas regarding height, firmer suspension, brakes and wheel/tire setups. I would recommend the forester specific Swift Springs. Completely changes handling dynamic for $200 (price from years ago, not sure on current) firms up but doesn't beat you up and doesn't lower the car enough to put you in jeopardy on most back roads or forest service roads. Stock struts/dampers are cheap (comparably) to replace and so are the Swifts. I would also suggest skids as I saw previously mentioned, either fabricating or picking up the set from Primitive Racing.. Rallitek probably has a set for sale too. The Whiteline steering bushing and 24mm rear sway bar on the medium setting also a plus. Excited to follow your progress.
If you need a suspension to haul ass on dirt, handle jumps, and take you to work on Monday..
