Need to install an Up pipe today and was wondering If I could jack the rear of the car up using the rear deferential? Will it hurt it? I was going to use a block of wood between them If it is possible.

Yep, the rear diff is an official Subaru jacking point. Been using that on all my Suby's without issue. I use a short piece of 2x6 in there but it isn't really necessary.
