Annie is Officially an Orphan - Last Legacy/Liberty Built

It happened at the end of 1st shift at SIA last Friday but it wasn't announced until today. Since 1989 nearly 1.4 million Legacys were built for the North American market at SIA and at least a couple million more built in Japan prior to 2020 for the rest of the world.

I loved my '23 Forester but so far Annie has been the best road trip car one could ever want.

I only drove a Legacy for a week as a rental, but it was a really nice car.
Incredibly quiet, well mannered and as comfortable as a living room.
You are fortunate to have one.

From what I've gathered Legacy production was supposed to stop at the end of July, but due to a combination of delays getting the new Outback going in Japan and a last minute deluge of dealer orders for the old Outback they kept the line going a while longer.

there will be only Camry and Accord left. and whole bunch of domestic rental car junks now
and someone will jump out "how about VWs, Audi" they are junk too.

The Sonata and K5 are supposed to hang around at least one more year, but in many ways they're junk too. Altima is gone (and despite one saving my life, good riddance!) after this year and the last Malibu rolled out of Fairfax late last year.

I work in government, those are No 1,2 most stolen and then dumped cars. just sayin....
