Vehicle Details:
2025 Touring
Prior to installing my side dimming mirrors, I disconnected the negative on my battery. When I went to reinstall, the instructions I was reading said to torque it to 66lbs and while I was tightening, the bolt completely sheered off. I know nut is 10mm, but I'm not sure what I need to look for when I go to the auto store. My local Subaru parts dept couldn't find a part number and even if they did, they'd likely have to order it. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I'm not going anywhere anytime soon without this fixed.

► Edit - The solution can be found on post #11 in this thread!

It's not available separately as far as I know. Not sure what documentation you were reading but a battery terminal generally is very low torque as it's made of soft metal. Spec for that is 2.5 ft-lbs... Battery terminal isn't cheap as it has a current sensor built into it.

Update post: I called my local Subaru again thinking exactly what @j3rf was thinking, my worst fear, that it is the entire assembly, which they didn't have. But it was located nearby, about 40 minutes away at my dealerships sister dealership. I got to the parts desk and talked about how this was a $200 idiot tax and then someone from service stopped by. He took a look at the part and asked one of the techs. They pulled the piece I broke off a car that was getting warrantied for something else and just gave it to me. Wouldn't accept any money. Note that this was very much right place, right time, and definitely not something that is routinely, if ever, done. I feel pretty darn lucky and I also want to thank all of you who responded for your help!
