2020 - Sport - Can’t find VIN message?

2020 forester sport
I am trying to add my car to MySubaru or the subaru connect and it keeps coming up with a message it has no VIN# on record, I’ve tried manually entering it and scanning the door pillar barcode. Anyone have any insight on this? I am not new to subaru 15 year subaru tech. But it’s been a while since I owned one. Thanks in advance.

Call SOA's customer service number. They'll want some kind of proof you own the vehicle (we scanned a copy of the bill of sale and emailed it) and they'll fix it. We had a similar issue when we bought a used 2017 Forester and the VIN was still attached to the original owner's MySubaru account.
