Hi all,

I have an aftermarket head unit and the Carplay Wireless has basically always had problems connecting, especially after using Android Auto before, so I want to use a USB cable instead. Unfortunately, the only USB port is on the back of the head unit. Has anyone seen or have advice/instructions on where/how best to pull the cable through? I'm thinking through the underdash in the center, in front of the shifter is best for how/where I use and put my phone.

I would follow any of the videos on how to remove the factory radio so you can access the back of the unit. Then with everything out, you can make a hole or even get another usb extension socket with a cover. So then you can plug one end to the back of the head unit and then the usb socket can be installed next to the 12v plug. Then you can just plug your phone into that USB socket when needed. If you remove the usb cable, you can just flip the cover to close it. If you don't want all this work, just remove the radio and I've seen the usb cable just wedged in between the trim where your legs are and just comes out of there.
