Hi guys.
I'm looking to purchase a 2010-2013 model Forester. I've been shopping around a bit checking out prices. They can get quite varied. I'm definitely finding a lot of options around my budget, most of them fitting my wants/needs.
I'm just wondering on extra issues to be concerned about with this year model. I recall hearing something about an oil issue in these year models? Can someone expand on that for me? Is it a big deal?
I'm also more of a fan of the black interior rather than the regular interior look (white?). Which models got that interior? It seems to just be one here and there randomly that seems to be black interior. I was preferring to get a manual, as I keep hearing people are disappointed with the 4 speed automatic, but I'm not sure that's a deal breaker for me. I just don't find enough manual Foresters around.
Biggest concerns are mechanical wise though. Currently looking at a 2012 2.5X Premium. It's just under 40k miles and has already had 2 owners. I rarely come across any Forester that's had several owners and so low miles/decent price, kind of makes me wonder if something is wrong.
