Getting ready to do the timing belt.
I was gonna order the crank pulley tool from Amazon. I assume it will fit. I have a 2009 Subaru forester xt. Which is not in any of their lists for fitment.
Does anyone know?
Thank you!

It looks like it should work, I picked up the GrimSpeed tool a number of years back and it has worked on every Subaru I've dealt with since. Utilizes a breaker bar for the leverage as opposed to being an entire tool making it "easier" to store. The Company 23 tool does look very nice though.

Edit: Taking a look through the reviews on that particular tool, I'd stay away. A few reviews are saying that the hardware that comes with are not very good quality and might not be the right thread pitch, and a few mention that the holes don't line up. So I second the Company 23 offering if this style is more to your liking, it would suck to break a tool "in" a part that you don't have much clearance for in the engine bay.

Totally valid approach. I (un)fortunately became the family mechanic, and a LOT of them own Subarus.. So I'm busting it out once a year on average. So for OP, if it is a one and done, a lot of people do well with good hardware and a bar of some sort (usually some level of 2x material (2x4, 2x6) etc..), If you're gonna make a habit, going for a dedicated tool is usually ideal.
