2008 Forester Sport 125k miles I towed home last summer after my 95 Legacy took a bowling ball sized rock through the windshield and was totaled with only 280k on it on original motor and 5 speed.
Black has never been my favorite car paint but love the car and the new tires and wheels that came with it.
Hood clear coat was getting nasty and rock damaged so wrapped that in a flat black Carbon Fiber vinyl that matched the interior trim. Just finished some accent trim on plastic parts to make it more interesting and add some subtle color to match the wheels.
Had a choice between very gold and dark gold on Amazon and went with the darker tone to match the black paint.
Vinyl wrap is wonderful stuff but not as easy to install as Utube video make it out to be. I now have a great deal of respect for expert installers and I'm 68 and not lacking in experience with any and all DIY auto or building work but it turned out OK with a few up close faults.
Time will tell how it holds up to Seattle area weather.
